The song was inspired, if that is the right term, by the image of the Earth from space. This brought to mind Julie Gold’s song “From a Distance”, made famous by Bette Midler, which reminded us that from a distance there is no difference between all the people on Earth. And with the present situation in Ukraine causing problems with food supply to the most needy people on the planet, we tried to combine these ideas in a song incorporating the spirit of Christmas and drawing attention to the trouble caused by “senseless wars” far from the region of conflict. We are, literally, all in this image together. JG
